Care Guides
Cleaning Silicone Straps
Silicone watch straps are waterproof and perfect for workouts — but they collect sweat and skin oils quickly.
How to clean:
-
Remove the strap and rinse it under warm water.
-
Apply a drop of gentle soap and lightly rub with your fingers or a soft brush.
-
Rinse thoroughly and dry with a lint free towel.
-
Let it air dry before putting it back on your watch.
What to avoid:
-
Bleach or alcohol based cleaners — they can break down silicone.
-
High heat or direct sunlight when drying.
Pro tip:
If your strap smells after workouts, soak it in a mix of warm water and a teaspoon of baking soda for 10 minutes before rinsing.
Cleaning FKM and Rubber Straps
FKM rubber is premium, durable, and resistant to heat and chemicals — but it can lose its lustre if not cleaned regularly.
How to clean:
-
Wipe off surface dust with a damp cloth.
-
For deeper cleaning, use mild soap and warm water, scrub gently with a soft brush.
-
Rinse and pat dry with a towel.
-
Finish with a light coat of silicone safe rubber conditioner (optional).
What to avoid:
-
Petroleum-based cleaners or solvents.
-
Leaving the strap in direct sunlight for extended periods.
Pro tip:
Cleaning once every few weeks helps prevent buildup and keeps that factory-fresh finish.
Cleaning Stainless Steel Straps
Daily wear of your Stainless Steel Watch Strap can trap dirt and sweat between links, dulling its shine.
How to clean:
-
Detach the strap from your watch.
-
Mix warm water with a drop of mild dish soap.
-
Dip a soft brush or toothbrush into the solution and gently scrub between the links.
-
Rinse under clean, lukewarm water — avoid soaking if the strap isn’t fully waterproof.
-
Pat dry with a soft microfiber cloth and let it air dry completely before reattaching.
What to avoid:
-
Harsh chemicals or abrasive pads — they can scratch the metal.
-
Ultrasonic cleaners unless specifically rated for your strap’s finish.
Pro tip:
Use a polishing cloth occasionally to restore shine and remove fingerprints.
Cleaning Titanium Straps
Titanium is corrosion-resistant, perfect for daily wear. But it can still pick up oil and grime.
How to clean:
-
Wipe the strap with a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth.
-
For deeper cleaning, use mild soap and water on a soft brush.
-
Rinse carefully and dry completely with a lint-free cloth.
What to avoid:
-
Strong detergents or jewelry cleaners — titanium’s matte finish can be affected.
-
Excess moisture left between links.
Pro tip:
A gentle wipe after each wear keeps titanium looking clean and new for years.
Cleaning Nylon Straps
Nylon straps are breathable and great for everyday wear. They can collect sweat, dirt, and odour over time.
How to clean:
-
Remove the strap and soak it in a bowl of warm water with mild soap for 5–10 minutes.
-
Gently scrub with a soft toothbrush to remove dirt.
-
Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a towel.
-
Hang or lay flat to air dry fully before wearing again.
What to avoid:
-
Bleach or harsh detergents.
-
Wringing or twisting to speed up drying.
Pro tip:
A quick rinse every few wears keeps nylon fresh and odour-free.
Cleaning Leather Straps
Leather ages beautifully — but it’s sensitive to moisture and sweat. Proper cleaning keeps it supple and prevents cracking.
How to clean:
-
Detach the strap from your watch.
-
Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove surface dirt.
-
For stains, use a small amount of leather cleaner.
-
Wipe dry and apply a quality leather conditioner.
-
Let it air dry naturally (never use heat).
What to avoid:
-
Soaking leather in water.
-
Direct sunlight or hair dryers for drying.
-
Alcohol or ammonia based cleaners.
Pro tip:
Rotate between straps to extend the life of your leather bands.
